EAD question

My EAD expired on 05/12/2003. I applied my renewal of EAD in the month of April. How I will get approval of my EAD? Either from expiray date of previous EAD or from the actual appproval date of new EAD? If any body have any idea please let me know.

From the actual appproval date of new EAD. There will be a gap between the new EAD and old EAD.You should have applied much earlier for the renewal.
