I am planning to go to India on 5/15/04 for my brother's marriage on 5/30/04, my EAD expires on 6/1/04 and my AP expires on 6/5/04. I have applied for renewing my EAD and AP on 2/23/04, I don't think I will get my EAD and AP approved before I go.
If I return to the US on 6/2/04, will there be a problem at port of entry because my EAD has expired. I was told that they will only check AP.
The 90 day wait for taking an interim EAD will be over on 5/23/04. I am planning to go for an interim EAD on 6/3/04.
Please advise.
