EAD Question ...Pl Help

I have applied for EAD extension on Dec 5th with VSC. But my previous EAD expires on Jan 31, 2003. Should I expect that my EAD extension will be done by then ....
OR
Is there any INS office that I can go to for same day processing of EAD extension ?? Please help/advice
I saw earlier some msg saying that at some places same day EAD is done .....

FRom what i read from posts some Centers like Boston issues Same day EAD, some don't like Newark. Normally the EAD extension takes about 4 - 6 weeks probably you might be able to get the approval by Jan 31. I saw some posts that the EAD approved even around Nov 18 Notice date too.

From what I have heard

You can do walk-ins only of your application has been pending for more than 90 days. I am not sure but thats what my immigration manager told me.

I got my EAD approved in about 4 weeks. The EAD approval does not come under th freeze. So you should be getting it before the end of JAN. If you dont then legally you cannot work. Your company cannot have you one their payroll. But you can still stay in a valid status. If you are still on H1 there is no problem.
