Ead Query For My Wife - In Case If My Company Laid Off

Hi,

In case if my Company lays off without cancelling I-485 can i change the employer use 180 rule. What will be my wife status - she is working on EAD. Before EAD she was working on H-1.
Is she has to apply for new H-1 (OR) she can continue in EAD.

To renew EAD, You need not submit any evidence that you are with the company.
You take your old EAD and receipt copy and fees...
wait and see what will happen at the time of approval. Sometimes without any refs your case
may be approved.
As long as one has a valid EAD, one can work. Need not apply for any H-1 or H-4...(Another head ache)

Advised to stick to that company as long as they laid you off...
You can see some interesting messages on this discussion board
that if the company laid you off, You dont have any problems to get the approval...
(It is not sure, but as per the messages it is)

I dont think you can Use H1B once you Use EAD(Correct me if I am Wrong). You can take Extension of EAD with receipt notice and with old EAD.

I think you can work with any new company on EAD and let ur GC keep going with original company. GC would not be affected by your staying with this or anyother comapny.
