EAD pending, H1 expired

Hi My first EAD is pending and my current H1 has expired as of yesterday. I also have a H1 renewal that was filed a month ago. I just wanted to confirm with you guys that I am completely legal and in status to continue work.

Here are my details:

140 - AD 04/12/2004
485 - ND 06/26/2003
EAD/AP - ND 03/11/2004
H1B - ND 04/21/2004 (Renewal)
Current H1B - expired 05/31/2004

Please advise.

I had the same case and this was the response from my lawyer

"since your extension was filed well before the expiration of your current visa, you are automatically granted a 240 day extension of status and work authorization while the petition is waiting adjudication."
