EAD or Waiting for GC

Dear Friends,

My wife is about to renew her EAD, and according to TSC's timeframe for I-485, our cases could be approved anytime, if we are lucky.

Will the renewal of EAD be rejected if the I485 is apporved? Though I-485's approval would definitely be a good news, mw wife may have to wait for a couple of months to get GC in order to legally work. Is this speculation true? Or one can legally work once I-485 is apporved and doesn't have to wait for the CARD.

Once the I-485 is approved she is allowed to work. You do not need any EAD.
The only thing is if she's hired somewhere they are going to want to see the stamp in the passport or the card. Also don't forget to update your SS#.
You want to get the "work with USCIS authorization only" removed. That can't be done until you are updated as apporved in the system so the SS Admin. can see it.
 
I have a EAD related question. Me and my wife obtained our first EAD with the help of attorney and the law firm. I want to file continuation of our EAD without including lawyer or law firm. Would I need to notify USCIS that lawyer dose not represent my I-765 case anymore for the new EAD or can I just go ahead send all documents and fees to USCIS and not worry about the G-28 forms etc. Please let me know if you know the solution.

Just fill out the forms yourself. You do not need to send in anything about your lawyer. I did our renewals myself and kept my lawyer. He took care of the RFE's and other paper work.
