my wife is working on H1B (2nd year) at company A (contract job). the contract ends at 10/25. She just got an offer from Company B (permanent). She wants to start right after the current contract ends. if she wants to keep using H1B, is it true that she cannot work in Company B until she receives the H1B transfer receipt? if so, is there enough time for her to start in late october?
she also has a valid EAD (pending 485, stuck in Name check). We are also thinking to use EAD, it is just a lot simpler even though we know she will be in trouble if there is anyting wrong with her 485.
Any suggestions?
