EAD - OPT - STEM question

I have a job offer with one of the biggest IT companies - I don't know if they e-verify or not. They stated specifically they do not sponsor for this position. I already completed section 1 of I-9 electronically on the companies website and will complete section 2 on the first day of work (they will make copies of license and EAD-OPT).

I will have 8 months left on my OPT on my start date (Next month). And I'm eligible for STEM extension - I'm thinking of getting extension through my current employer that's e-verify.

I will marry my American girlfriend in december and hopefully file for work permit in January.

Should I be worried that they may not accept my OPT card (because they dont sponsor for this position) on my start date?

I am particularly worried because the job is in a different city, I don't want to make the trip and be rejected.

PS: I did not tell them I was on OPT.

Please advise

Not advising them of your situation was foolish. They will wonder why you were not 100% forthcoming with important information about your status.

Not advising a prospective employer of your visa status when it is required is grounds for revocation of the employment offer. This is a form of dishonesty that may be tolerated in your home country but is not proper business practice in the US. A lie is a lie is a lie.

As for hushing, if you are so smart, why are you posting to an internet forum for advice.

Alright Mr. Concerned4us you win. I don't have time for this. Please is there anyone else out there that has been in a similar situation or have any good ideas how I could approach this issue.

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond to my post
