Hi There,

I applied for EAD & AP in September. Both of them are approved on September 20th. I received my AP, but I didn’t receive my EAD. I called USCIS, they said I need to fill out I-824 form ($ 200 fee  ) and mail it to USCIS. I thought I will receive my EAD, and I took Tickets to India on Dec 30th. Following are my questions:

1) Can I travel to India and come back only on AP, without having EAD?

2) I want to get EAD ASAP, What are my options?

3) I heard from one of my friend that we can get EAD directly by going to Immigration Center, is it true? If so where should I go & what forms do I need to take?

I really appreciate your input on this.

The above questions may sound annoying (as many like me asked before), but I want clear advices & instructions.

Thanks in Advance,
Dec Baby…

EAD Not Required

EAD Not Required for your travel.

And these days, there are no fast ways to get EAD. Local offices used to issue Interim EAD's. Not anymore. All they can do is,inquire with Service centers.

Thanks Kiran for your input.

CAUSA:
I applied thru Vermont Service Center. it was approved on Sep 20th.

Thanks all.
