EAD no Acknowledgement or Check encashed

My attorney says my EAD renewal application has been sent to the USCIS (NSC) a couple of weeks back.

I have neither received an Acknowledgement or have the checks been encashed.

Should I be concerned, or is it just taking time nowadays. What do I need to do ?
