EAD Name Spelt Wrong

I received my EAD on the second week of Dec 06 ( Receipt date Sep 08 2006). I applied for my EAD myself online. The webpage asked for my middle name and since I dont have one, I chose "None". I got my EAD approved, but the card reads my name as "First Name, Last Name N" (The "N" being "None" for middle Name". I got in touch with USCIS and the customer service person said that I'd have to send the card back to USCIS and the process is gonna take another 90 days, I cant wait till then coz I already have some jobs that I have to start soon . Is there anyway to expedite this process of correcting this error or can I just use the same card for my employment, coz all the receipts show my name right.I am seriously confused. Thank you.

Unfortunately you will have to return card to get another one because you will need your Social Security Number to get job. When you go to the SS Office, they are going to check to see if USCIS has placed your information in their system and if it is and everything is correct you will get your SS Card within 2 weeks but if it is not in the system you will have to wait it out (about 4-6 weeks) HOWEVER if it is in the system and your correct name is what they have then your EAD won't match their records and they will make an inquiry to USCIS ( a long process) :o and you will be delayed in getting your SS Card thus getting a job.

Only if the records for USCIS and what they send to Social Security has the same error will you be able to get your SS Card to be able to go to work. :o with that card. I wish for your sake it would all add up so you could go to work and be working while they correct your card but You are in a tough spot.
