EAD Lost in Mail

My EAD card and approval notice was lost in the mail, I485 pending.
I have documents proving that it was approved and card returned by the post office by mistake (no address change) and Texas center is remailing the card, which they said 3 weeks ago.

Can I still work?

My furstration level with bureaucracy reached a new height.

My I485 was filed in 2002 and why they haven't approved it?!!
 
My wife and me applied for EAD on the same day I got my EAD but my wife's EAD was returned by the post office to UCIS (don't know what happened, we have the same address) I called UCIS and told them what happened, they resent it(I think we got it in around 7-10 days)
 
So what happened to my EAD?

I went to the local post office three times in two weeks and tried to make sure they deliver everything to me. But still no EAD coming.

My employer threatened to terminate me.

Looks like things really sc----d up for me here.
 
I kept calling 1-800-375-5283 in the last two days.
They told me due to "temporary" system problems, they can't access my file.
So now, I can't even ask them to re-resend again.

I am willing to pay UPS Overnight. But of course, they don't do that.
 
when u call the system, choose the option to change yr address, u will get to talk to someone. i think there is a problem with the option of talking to the officer, it always says temp sys probs
