EAD issued for spouse but not primary?

I have applied for EAD for my spouse and myself in early Feb 2004(WAC 04-085XXX). Now my spouse just received the EAD card but my status still shows application received. On my 485(WAC03-023XXX), there is currently a pending RFE, is it possible that the RFE is holding up my EAD issurance? It is weird that the deriative application was approved for EAD without the approval for the primary. Does anyone else have similiar experience? Any suggestion is greatly appreciated!
 
It happens on and off. The Applications are routinely treated seperately. The INS is not known for efficient processing. I don't think the 485 RFE has anything to do with your EAD, just some bungling on the part of INS.

Nothing to worry as long as the JIT has not moved too far from your RD. In which case you will have to fax an inquiry. I would advise you to sit tight and hold on until that happens.
