EAD Issue....Important...pls. help

Guys,

I have applied for extention of my EAD on 12/18/2004 by mail and haven't got any receipt notice from USCIS, which will have the EAC no. My present EAD expires on 03/14/2005. Here are the details of my case :

PD : 09/2001
I-140 RD : 12/2/2003
I-140 RFE : 6/2004
I-140 Approved : 9/2004
I-485 RD : 12/2/2003
FP : 12/2/2004

How could I find out whether USCIS has received my application for EAD Extention or not.

postal order ! can you track that ? if you have a copy of that call postal services to find that out first..checks are normat payment method..
 
Thanks MD_Rockville. I will try to find the information about the postal order first.
So if it's cashed, then i should assume that they have received the paperwork. Now, Can i call them and ask for the EAC no.

if that is cashed, then EAC is assigned..call them to find that out
