EAD interview held on aug 27th at newark, nj

Hi all,

My husband had his EAD interview on the 27th.
His interview was scheduled at 8:30 AM. He reached there on time, his name was called at 11:30.

They checked the interview letter, verified the address, took the previous EAD card (OPT), looked at his passport and asked who is applying for this GC.

He was called again at 2:00 for picture.

He got his his EAD at 2:30.

The entire process took couple of hours but everyhting was straight forward..........

thanks for sharing this. I have to go next week and I had thought that it will be an hour thing at the most just like the FP. But this looks like a whole day game...

mine is 9:30 -10 am next week. So guess I will be there for 3-4 hrs atleast...

ikazmi - what all document did your husband take ? as per the notice, it says proof of filing, proof of residence, passports and any old ead ? is that it ?
 
I know you asked ikazmi, but since I was around, I thought I might add something.

Make sure you take everything that was listed in the letter.

I was asked a whole lot of stuff (Original and copies). I took everything with me and the lady asked me if I had got everything. She asked me for one document and it's copy and when I started to get it out of my bag she realized that I had it, she said don't bother.

cool. The notice says that if you have filled after Jan 4th, then bring only the stuff i mentioned earlier, if before jan 4th then bring the whole additional set of documents... ie copy of 485, 130, marriage papers, I-94 etc.. thats why i wanted to check....
