EAD in Indy

In Indianapolis, EAD can be taken on the counter. My EAD will expire in 3 months. Should I go to the INS counter in Indy that month when my EAD expires, or should I go there now. If I go now, will they renew my EAD from today or from the expired date.

Note: I started working on my EAD.

Guys who are in the same boat, pls comment.
 
From what I know, the local INS (such as chicago or Indy) are authorized to give only interim-EADs, if the processing is delayed by the main BCIS service center. The EAD renewal will have to be done at the respective BCIS service centers only.

Indy is authorized to give EADs....and just not interim EADs. There are only a couple of cities in US which can do this like San Diego, where you go to the INS office and get your EAD on the counter, with just having your 485 reciept and your ID(passport).
