We have been watching other peoples timelines and thought we would post our own. We filed the I-485 and I-765 on 12/28/04 for my husband, recieved notice right afterwards, and scheduled biometrics for the first available appointment on the 17th of Feb (!). Got the biometrics done that day, and we recieved the Employment Authorization on the 26th of February.
A few things we learned. When we originally filed, we included an attachment explaining why we needed the EAD by the end of Feb, and we believe that this may be the reason we got it right after the biometrics. We also found out that while we waited 6 weeks for the biometrics appointment, many people were walking into the service center the day we were there and were told that without an appointment that they would have the wait a few hours (certainly a lot better than 6 weeks).
Hopefully Advanced Parole and the Greencard will follow.....
