EAD : Help Needed

My EAD expires this Jan 27th and since the renewal application was lodged by my lawyer only on Nov 27th, I doubt if I will get my EAD renewed before the expiry date.

I have a job offer in hand and the employer is forcing me to join them on Jan 6th. Else...?? I honestly like to begin new employment after I receive the renewed EAD. Its a good offer and I constantly fear that in the context of the renewal, offer shouldn't get messed-up.

Pls advise!!! Ideas....
 
You wil get Renewed by Jan 27.

Don't worry, Do not think too much and better option i feel is take the new job offer with the existing EAD. In case if you don;t get your renewal by Jan 27th, then you can take vacation or working vacation or even you can ask your new employer not to give the pay check for that period. These times good job offers are important, so don't loose it.
 
I am also in the same boat, My EAD is expiring in Jan-03 and got laid off. I went to local INS office about getting expediated EAD renewal, INS officer(on the counter) told me that " As long as I have EAD card and Receipt of EAD renewal application, I am good to work". So guys it is OK to work as long as you applied for EAD renewal, (no need to go for vacation)

Hey Guys,

I totally agree with GCLookup. B'coz my friend's attorney says "The same thing". As long as you applied for renewal EAD, not first time, one would be ok to continue to work with existing EAD and with EAD renewal receipt notice. If u r applying for the first time, yes, you've to wait for EAD approval.

I hear from people working like this.
I guess you should be fine.
