Hi All.,

I am new to this site, need some help on this matter.

Greencard main applicant is my wife.

I am on H1B and got my EAD approved in Jan,2003. Rightnow getting paid on H1B.

I got a joboffer as parttime on 1099 by new company.

can i continue two jobs sametime one on H1B W2pay check and other on 1099 with new company parttimer. is it legal.

Hi,

I think once you use the EAD your H-1 gets invalidated. But I am not sure if it does for the part time job.

You can have switch to EAD on your H-1 employer and that way I think you can work both places. I understand there mit be some constraints for you.

I am not a lawyer so cross check all the info...

AP & EAD

Hello All,

I have seen my AP and EAD approved on April 30,2003.
How many days does it take normally to get AP and EAD.
For AP it says if u dont recieve in 14 days then i should call the INS office.and about EAD, I dont know.
Pl share some experiences in this regard.

Yes, it would be legal to work both place using EAD, only thing you need to do is fill out I-9 form with your h1 emplyer and ofically start working on EAD, make sure you apply for EAD in 3 months advance before it expire, becuase you need to have EAD in your hand physically to work, unlike h1, that you can continue working when your h1 extetion application is pending.
