EAD/H-1B - Status Related Question

I am on a H-1B with Company X. I got my EAD 2 weeks ago. Now Company Y also wants to pay me something on the part time basis. What do I need to do to draw that income also from company Y. Is what I am trying to do legal. Will I be losing my H-1B status in this situation..Any response will be greatly appreciated...

per my understanding you can use ead for parttime but not H1B...so u have to fill some form with second company ( i think I9) and give ur ead details...check with lawyer i dont know how this will affect ur h1b.....

once u use your EAD, your H1 is not valid. In your case, I am pretty sure that you will have to use EAD.

I have a question, using the EAD the nature of JOB should be same as the one mentioned in I-140??? or one can do any parttime job using EAD.
