EAD frustration

applied for renewal Oct 1st. 2004 in TSC. have received the receipt notice, but nothing after that. It'll be 90 days on January 5. the current one expires January 28. I made the appointment with the local BCIS. We'll see what happens.

has anyone applied on or after october 2004 and received EAD. looks like they are not doing anything at all right now. nothing is moving!! Last time I applied 4 months before again and got it in 45 days, where I lost almost 3 months of EAD. there is no standard in this process, I am tired of it.

why don't they make this thing last at least 2 years. it'll be less painful for us and for them especially. hopefully same thing won't happen to I-485..

anyway, just wanted to share. I feel better now.

My wife's EAD (OPT based) receipt date is 10/5/2004 and is still pending at TSC.

But several friends got their cards in Nov. after only about 30 days.
 
I had my EAD card in 30 days.

my lawyer sent out the renew EAD/AP on Nov 29, 2004. and I received the EAD card on Jan 2, 2005.

Not sure whether it matter if Lawyer or you send the application. I worried so much at first so I reminded the lawyer in Nov, 2004. I think I am just lucky this time to get EAD so quick..

My case is older than you guys :-)
Texas Center,3rd EAD RD : 7th Sept . I called the National Customer Service and they asked me to take an appointment with the local UCICS. My current EAd is expiring on 8th Jan,so I'll have to get it done.
Last year I too got my EAD within 3 months and i had applied myself. This time I applied myself,but don't know what's happening.
Just today evening the online status got updated to:
"On January 3, 2005, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."
This looks to be their response on the call I made.
Very Frustrating............

docaj have you heard from your wife's EAD yet? nothing from mine yet....

PKSVS, I am wondering if your 485 is so close to approval, that's why they are taking it slow on EAD...just a thought. good luck with your appointment.

also, funny story: when my lawyer was filing EAD, he also filed for AP, but he sent it to the local office accidentaly. then luckily and very surprisingly the local office(Orlando) forwarded the application to National benefits center in Missouri. I got my AP yesterday in the mail that surprised the hell out of me(when I saw Missouri service center on the envelope I freaked out). anyway I guess we should have make the same mistake in sending EAD as well, lol....

my appointment is on Monday.

did u give ur biometrics(fingerprints, after u got renewal Ead notice date u have to call 1-800-and get appointment for biometrics.). u have to give ur boimetrics.now a days biometrics is must for each renewal application pending with ins.

if u done please share ur experience.

I was never informed about the biometrics. maybe my lawyer received and forgot to tell me. I'll call him on monday after my appointment. thanks

recently applied for my Ead renewal, and my ead reciept clearly saying that i have to call 1-800 and need to get my apointment for my biometrics.
but still i have to call them.

please let me know what u have on ur notice.

yeah, it says so if u do a e-file. i did the same just now... keep in touch
 
Too much wait

I applied for my EAD ( I-765 ) on Dec 6th and got fingerprint and rest a couple of days later. I am still waiting for the EAD card, the wait is frustrating :( since I already have a job offer where I gave the start date as 4-5 weeks from Dec 6th based on other people's experience. Guys who have got their OPT who applied in Dec can you please share how long it took for you.

If you have a car and some free time just work out with the person on the phone BICS and they will find a good place near by with nearly no wait time for Biometrics.
