EAD for my wife

I have a green card and have applied for my citizenship but have not received it yet (no Oath till now). My wife is on an H-1, which expires in 2 months time. We have been waiting for my citizenship to come thru so that I can apply for her GC.

However, my question is: What if my citizenship does not come thru before her H-1 expires? What options do we have for her to stay and work legally here in the the US?

Can I apply for her EAD so that she can continue working after her H-1 expires?

I dont know :confused: what status we could use for the EAD?

Do we have any other options except to wait for the citizenship? And what can we do if it does not come before her H-1 expires?
