I am on L2 visa. I had filed form I-765 for an EAD at the local INS office in Dallas,Texas. I got a recpt. dtd 07/06/02 from INS.
It also stated the processing time to be 4 months.
Yesterday I went to INS office to enquire about the status.
First they said that they have not recd any official notification
regarding granting EAD for L2 visa. Then they said that they could not track my application in their system. They asked me to mail a form to Texas service center enquiring about this. Can anyone tell me what to do in this case? I have not recd any other letter from the INS. I also believe that after 90 days from the filing the INS has to issue a temporary EAD. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
