EAD Fingerprints - desperate!

I applied for my EAD back in May and still have not received it. The hold up is because somehow the letter to get digitally fingerprinted is not getting to me! Apparently this new policy took affect right after I applied. INS is being no help, they keep telling me the letter is on the way and I never receive it. Then they do not understand why I dont receive it. I went to the Newark office to get an temp EAD and they would not give it to me because I need the fingerprint letter! The keep telling me to wait for this letter and the months are just passing. My EAD expired in July. I dont know what else to do, please help!

This has caused me to lose my job, not able to renew my drivers license and I can not continue my college.

We're in the same situation before with the Newark office telling us the same.

If your EAD Processing Date > Recicpt Date + 30 days (Check in Service Center processing times)

What you should do is call INS customer service & there'll be an option to go through above calculation(Hope you must have done this.)

Now tell them that you need to file an inquiry about the case.Then they'll take the info and send a letter to you.

It'd happenned in our case and the EAD is approved the next day we filed inquiry.

Basically the e-File needs BioMetrics where as paper file doesn't need it.
We did a paper filing and INS got confused.

I hope ur's is the same case (Guessing)
The last option is Contact your local congressmen.
 
Thank you for your reassurance tipsy. Finally last week INS mentioned that inquiry option to me, I had no clue about it and its been WAY longer than 30 days and I had been calling atleast twice a week. And this is the first time they mentioned it! I did send in my paper fingerprints also, I am hoping they are just confused and my will also be approved! I have already contacted my congressmen and governer. Thanks for you help!
