EAD extension time in NSC?

Please advice on my case.

My H-1B is expiring on 8/1/2002 and my EAD is valid till 10/18/2002.
My company is filing for my EAD extension now. But they are now willing to extend my H-1B.

Since I have less that 90 days to get my EAD extened, is it safe in NOT extending my H-1B?

How many days will it take for EAD extension?

Why didn't you think of it earlier when both were going to exipre in the same time frame? Anyway, you'r taking a chance with the EAD. No matter what the general time frame may be to renew EAD, what if something goes wrong, and it is not renewed in time? You will be out of work without renewed H-1.

On the other hand, do you still have time left on H-1 or it will be 6th year extension? In that case, it is a different game.

If co. opts for one expense, pay for the other, but the best bet is to do both. Better safe than sorry.
 
How much it costs to extend H-1B?

Till last week, my company said that they will extending both. Last week I received my FP notices. Due to that, they don't want to extend H-1B.

Still I have 2-years left in my H-1B.

Could you please tell how much it costs to extend H-1B?
 
depends on Attorney

It varies from Attorney to attorney. You may expect a range between $1000-2000.
