hi i applied for my ead and ap on 30th april(e filed) .it got denied coz they had sent a noid on 485 to the lawyer which went back on the account of my lawyer changing address and not informing me or ins.(see the signature)
changed the lawyer ,asked the notice to be resent .i replied to it and they have also opened up my ead .
the problem is current one is expiring on 13th july, what do i do?
company says they cannot keep me on payroll without the card.
they will have to terminate my employment but will rehire me when the ead comes.
if and what will be effect of this on my gc?
any other option or suggestions?
guys please help.
do not have any back up plan like h1b.
any advice would be appreciated.
thanks in advance.

You cannot work without a valid EAD card in your possession - so what your company says is kinda correct.

They don't have to terminate you - they can put you on an unpaid leave of absence till you get the new EAD card.

Don't worry about your legal status - even though you don't have H1, you are still in valid legal status as long as your 485 is not actually denied (NOID doesn't count)
So your pending 485 gives you the status to stay here - you need a valid EAD to resume work.

Take a break from work and hope your EAD comes quick.

noid was for the new employment and company's ability to pay.
they acknoweldegd that i'm eligible for ac21 becoz my 485 was pending for more than 180 days and also my 140 altho revoked by the former employer was approved before i changed my job.
i had not informed ins abt ac 21.
i was expexcting a noid but the problem is it got returned coz my lawyer moved and she never informed me let alone ins.
so they put my ead on hold and wanted me to first respond to noid.
i have already done that.
i guess they will take sometime in processing ead.
in the meantime i cannot work.
well!!! lets hope for the best.
i cant do anything else except to wait.
