EAD expired - Help please...

Hello Guys,

My EAD expired on the 29th of Jan05and i have filed for a renewal back in Dec 04.. i havent got an approval yet...what are the consequences of having it expired and still working???

You would be illegal. Its as simple as that. Just read carefully at the backside of your EAD card, which shows that you can work as long as its valid on the front side.

So even if you work on Jan 30, you are illegal to do this. Rest is upto you.
 
Take an unpaid vacation till your EAD is approved. Unpaid work is also frowned upon by the USCIS if it is work that you would have normally gotten paid for.
