Hi All,

I completed my USMLE exams step 1 and 2 and CSA. I am planning to apply for the match this year. I am on H4 visa right now.

My husband is working as a Software Engineer. He got his green card filed and added me to the process too. He and I got the Employment Authorization Document (EAD) last month.

My question is,
Will I be eligible to join the colleges where they prefer Green Card using EAD ??
Or Will I be considered still under the visa category.

>>> No. but you might have to explain to some programs when you go for interviews, as some progrmas still do not understand the intricacies of the immigration process (although majority do know)

Make sure that you mention/check the option for *permanent resident* when you are filling the ERAS form in aug/sept this year.
