I recently submitted a 765 form online with an error on it. The country of citizenship was listed as USA accidentally. I re-submitted a corrected form the next day, online as well and sent in a letter asking for the previous 765 form to be withdrawn/deleted/whatever.
Today I got a letter from the USCIS Request For Evidence on the first (incorrect) 765. So I guess they ignored the letter I sent.
I am going to contact USCIS customer support on Monday. I'm hoping that the cancellation or abandonment of my first 765 will not adversely affect the second (correct) one. The status of the second one is still listed as "in progress" on the web site.
What are my options? Any suggestions? Has anyone gone through this before or have any knowledge of the best approach in this situation? Any help would be most appreciated as i'm pregnant and all stressed-out about this situation and don't know how to fix it..
