EAD clock freeze

Hi,

I am currently in F1 status and currently working with my OPT EAD and I have applied for asylum in oct 2019 and had my Interview within 2 weeks after that. And on Jan's last week I received NOID. After that, I and my lawyer reviewed my application and send a rebuttal on February and by march as there was no decision so we applied for EAD because 150 days was completed. Now the problem is that from March 19th in the case status the EAD clock is not updating and i am certain that it should show more than 200days. Please need advice.

Why do you need an EAD? Why don't you work with your OPT?
When the EAD clock stops, it means that there has been an update in your case. Either the officer issued a final denial or something like that which triggered the clock to stop

I suggest that you continue working with your OPT EAD and reapply for asylum once you run out of status

The Case Status says Decision Pending. and the EAD clock is frozen at 171days and that was in march 18th till now. Also I would prefer to work on the Asylum EAD. Is there a way to know the the updated case status?

Only the asylum office knows that. You can try applying for EAD and see what happens. I just know that the online case status is not reflective of the true status.

I have already applied for EAD around march when my 150days was over. Also i had a question regarding the EAD application and that is should have received a letter that the asylum office received my EAD application?

I received the NOID and after rebutal EAD clocked stoped at 50+ days for last 3 Months. Not sure whats Going on. Heard if you are legal they wont make a decision until your legal status is About to expire.

If you're in legal statul and got denied you won't be able to go to the court anymore

That's a bit technically wrong.
You can go to court. But, all you have to do is to re-submit your asylum application when you fall out of the status you presently are.
So, the law allows you to be referred to court onward since you're now out of status and since you've been previously denied through USCIS.
