EAD case Transferred from CSC to TSC

My EAD application was transferred to TSC from CSC as my 485 is pending at TSC. However the receipt number remained the same. Original receipt date at CSC is Dec 2nd 2003 and on Feb 25th 2004, the case is received by TSC. The case is still not approved although the curent processing date at TSC is Feb 25th.

I called customer service and he scared the hell out of me. He said the case might be lost as it will appear in TSC systems as it has WAC recept number. He said I should send them a written letter with copy of the transfer letter.

He also mentioned that I should request transfer of 485 from TSC to CSC as I am now a california resident. I am afraid I will loose two years (time since 485 rd) and have to start over again.

Anybody has any ideas or suggessions on how to approach this.

Thanks
Srinivas.

The EAD should be applied at the center where your I-485 is, so they did the right thing by transferring it for you.

That CSR is full of shit. They don't know anything anyways. I got my I-140 transferred to NSC from TSC, when they were trying to reduce the backlog of I-140's. I kept the same SRC number, and was never issued a LIN number (ie for Nebraska). The case got approved, and they never had any trouble giving me status when I called Nebraska. (back in the day when you could call the service centers directly, not these bullshit CSRs they have now) Don't worry, they won't lose it just because the case number doesn't start with SRC. These things happen all the time. You'll get it approved at TSC.
