Hello, everybody!

I applied for EAD renewal by mail in VSC on Feb 14th 2003, got receipt on Feb 28th. According to INS site, on Mar 13th I got approved and they've ordered my new card.
The question is: how long does it take to actually get a card after getting approved?

I just wanted to know how long does it take them to send a new card after they approve it. You see, statement "Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready." doesn't really say anything about the timeframe :)

Hello. My spouse also applied for renewal at VSC and got the card today in the mail, 03/15/03. Same message as yours was displayed before in BCIS online case status but when we checked today, it displays:

This case has been approved. On March 13, 2003, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours.

The only document we received are the Receipt Notice and the actual card. Here is the EAD details:

EAC-03-096-xxxxx
RD: 02/03/2003
ND: 02/06/2003
AD: 02/24/2003

Normally it takes two weeks to change the message to " Approval card mailed" and one would normally receive in a week time. So you can expect in 3-4 weeks. Hope this helps.
