EAD card filed from NYC timeline in 2004, Folks!

I filed I-130/I-485/I-765 on August 1, 2004
RD:08/06/2004
ND: 08/13/2004
FP: 09/08/2004 (both I-485 and I-765 were done at the same day)
My question is: I tracked my case online and find out that only the fingerprinting status was updated/noticed for I-485 application, but not for I-765. How am I sure that they received the fingerprinting data for EAD card. How long it will take for me to get the EAD card? Timeline info, anybody, please.

It depend which service center you applied. I have recently recevied my EAD card after six months waiting.
 
Thats the way it worked for me as well (no online update to EAD status once fp was done). I just got an email one day that it was approved. Total time for me at NBC was 55 days.

You can register bcis online, after that you have to add up your all the MSC # there. Then you can see that your I-765 and I-485 updated in a new date. And you can make sure that, your bimetrics also reached there. They don't update for the I-765 online, like I-485.

Thanks a lot. Mine is in MSC. It shows that it will take 30-90 days for EAD. My question is when to start to count - from ND or FP date?

-Create/Edit customer portfolio account


And create an account and you have to add your MSC # there and find out your updates.

Hi, Everyone, I have filed I-765 dated as above, but have not received EAD card or EAD interview notice. It is almost 90 days. Is this normal in New York City? When should I schedule an infopass appointment? I heard that there is a pilot program - anybody know the details in New York City? Please list your timeline and experience. All comments are welcome.

Hi, Everyone,

My case was filed in New York City and the address in the I-797C form is Lee's Summit, MO. I called the 1800 number asked different customer representatives and got different answers about which processing time applies to my case. In the online processing time, should I check "New York City, NY" under district offices or "NBC"? How do I find out which service center is holding/processing my case?

Since you received a notice form NBC (lee's Summit) Your case will be definitely processed by MCS (NBC). All EAD & AP based on family immigration are processed there no matter which office you filed at. Yet I think there's something wrong and messed up up with their times. I saw guys here filed end of August and received it sooner(like at the middle or beginnin of October), I filed mine on 14 July, and got the EAD on 25 Oct. which is like 11 days + the 90 days waiting. So I waited like 100 days to get it. I guess you should wait a little bit more. Give it time.
Otherwise just count 90 days from the RD(not the ND) and schedule an appointment through Infopass.
I scheduled Infopass appointment but the very next day I got an e-mail for EAD approval and just canceled it.

Thanks a lot. That was very informative and comforting which makes my days go easier.

I got EAD card approved today and it says that the EAD card will be arrived in mail as soon as it is ready. I waited 85 days.
 
See , nothing to worry about! I know how it is. Cos I was going nuts every day. No more waiting at least for that part. Congrat&good luck
