EAD approved - 05/09 according to AVM
validity - 04/16/01 - 04/15/02
Received yesterday , 05/15/01
AP received 04/16.
Still waiting for FP notice.

I have a question about your EAD approval. You mentioned that your EAD
  card was approved on 05/09 and you received the card on 05/15. My case
  is similar in that the AVM for my EAD says:

  "after approving your case on 05/09, we have requested for a new EAD
  card to be printed....."

  And I ma still waiting for the card in mail. Did you have a similar
  message in the AVM? I thought it takes about 2-3 weeks for them to
  print the card. Do you mean that the EAD was approved on 04/16 and
  the card was mailed out on 05/09. Please give details.

Amazes me as well. The AVM merely says that the petition has been approved
 on 05/09. It does not say that a request to print has been made etc.
I received the card yesterday. Actually, I checked
the AVM out of curiosity only after I received the card.

Hi:
  I think for CSC EAD there\'re two tep of message. When your card is approved, you will get message like:
" Upon approving your application, a new card has been ordered, it will take 60-90 days....... "

Then 2-3 weeks, after they mail out EAD card, the message will be:
"your application is approved, we have mail out the approve notice on XXX day. If you can not get it in 14 days, you may need to update your addres .........".

So you will get your EAD card in 2-3 weeks after first type message, and usally 3-8 days after second type of message.
