EAD card, do i need one?

I'm currently working and on H1b visa, just married to a USC. Of course, I do plan to work at the same job. Do I need to apply for a EAD card??

Is EAD card required after obtaining Green card?

EAD is only required while your Green Card application is pending. If you H1 doesnt run out say within the next 6 months and you do not plan on changing jobs then you do not need to apply for the EAD. It does take close to 90 days to receive your EAD.

My advice would be go ahead and get it anyway. It's relatively inexpensive to obtain and the application is only one page, so it's not much of a burdern. If you suddenly deicde to change employment or a better offer comes along in 3 months you can switch. But it's totally up to you.
