EAD, Can I work part time with another Employer

Hi all,

I-140 got approved 04/28/2005, FP done, got EAD 10 month back, 485 RD date: 06/01/2004( waiting).

My questions is, can I work part time with another employer without notifying GC applied Company(Currently I am working as FT employee).
Because I got a problem with middle layer company, so the client is asking me to work on part time basis until they find new consultant.

Please post ur valuable information.

Yes -- you can work on any number of jobs with EAD -- you don't have to notify anyone reg this.

But remember this .... if you are working on H/L status, you'll need to use EAD for all the jobs (including the original job) -- using your EAD for any job invalidates your H/L status and you need EAD for all jobs.

If you are already working on EAD, then there is nothing else for you to do !

You need to fill a new I-9 form with your EMPLOYER and show your EAD as the required proof of eligibility.

You don't file anything with USCIS ... just I-9 with the employer.
