EAD can get at local office same day or they do security check first

anyone has experient for EAD card, do they do security check now or I can get it at same day.

I got my EAD card today at Boston.
I am extrememly lucky though.

Starting this Tues, Boston INS is installing the IBIS system. Hence Boston INS has stopped issuing most walk-in EAD\'s. Today whoever came, they were told to come back between 05/28 and 06/01 to collect the EAD card. Somehow the officer felt pity on us (we had to travel 2 hrs).
