Quick question, i sent off all neccessary documents for a family based application. My wife (USC) only works part time and receives some benefits so i asked to have my fees waivered as i was told to do by the BCIS through a phone call. It was rejected and i was told to resubmit all the documents with the fees (still no idea why it was rejected) IF we cant afford it does that mean my co sponsor (my wifes sister who works for social security) is expected to pay?? If this is so how can anyone have there fees waivered by not having the finances since no one is allowed to even apply for spouse of a USC without having someone who earns over a certain amount of money each year to sponsor you? IT doesnt make sense. Anyway what i want to know is can i file my EAD only? i was thinking of doing that, getting a job and saving the money to pay for the fees for the AoS and other forms? this is urgent as altho i am married to a USC my initial visa has long expired.
