Hello,
I am a new user and just applied on 9/9/02. I applied through a family-based GC since my husband is a US citizen. I have not received my notice letter yet.
There was a thread last month (8/25/02 from Diavon) about obtaining EAD from the San Jose office after receiving the I-485 notice letter.
Here are my questions:
1) Is it true that I can go to the San Jose office to get my EAD right after receiving my notice letter if I am applying through family-based GC? (even though I sent the EAD application at the same I filed for I-485 and AP).
2) Since all my checks have been cashed today (for EAD, I-485, AP and FP), do I need to pay the EAD fee again when I go there?
3) Could anybody, who has applied through family-based GC in the past 2-3 months, share their dates with the San Jose office with me?
