My husband's and my EAD renewal got approved on May 12th, 2003. The online information was updated on May 13th. Very quick. Now we are waiting for the cards to come in the mail.
Our EAD renewal case number is WAC 03047*****. And we went to L.A. district office twice early last March to get the iEAD which is good for 8 months.

Our I-485 RD Nov. 21, 2001,
ND Nov. 26, 2001
Case number is wac 02050*****
Our fingerprint expired last month. No any information about our I-485 case from INS. It is a very frustrating waiting experience.
 
When you file for EAD, there's a stub with it, called as 797, and you are supposed to include that with your response, to expedite your renewal ....


then .. why does renewal ead take just as long as regular EAD?

I never sent that stub - just front and back of the old valid EAD. Should I expect additional delays?

you are not super lucky you are just lucky enough to get the EAD approval that too after 7 months. Super luck is when your 485 is approved (hitting jackpot)

We did notice the stubs with the first EADs. And we gave them to the attorney' assistant when we paid them $200 to renewal our EAD. But she said she didn't need this and our renewal application was similar to the new application.
I don't know whether the stub would work for us or not if we had attched them to our application. The assistant just asked me to take them back home with me. Maybe she tricked us. She is always very rude to us. She always postponed our application that leads us experience both the mail-room backlog for I-140 and freeze for I-485. Speaking the iEAD, we left home @ midnight to L.A. with our preschool daughter. It is a big hassel for us.

You are right I am not lucky at all. I gave myself this name just hope someday I can have the luck. The whole experience made me very frustrated and angry. I don't when we all will have the true freedom in this called freedom country. Without greencard, there is too much uncertainty. When I had to wake up my daughter in the midnight to leave for L.A. I felt very sad and guilty. Maybe we should just leave for our homeland to which we belong.

I did attach my stub with the EAD renewal application, my application # is WAC-03-100-***** ND FEB10, 2003,

Let me see if the stub will make a difference, when it comes to my EAD renewal ?

P.S I was never lucky at all with INS in the whole GC process except for my LC approval.

that stub is just an alien number which you fill on renewal application . There's no way that stub can put wheels on the application for faster approval , It will be approved on the speed directed by INS only. so stub or no stub it does't matter
