My wife's EAD was approved on July 11, 2003. We received the
card yesterday. It is a quite surprise for us because she applied
for it only one month ago and it is her first EAD card. We are
concurrent filers with ND of 4/17/2003. My I-140 has not been
approved yet. I remember someone said the spouse's EAD won't
get approved until I-140 is approved. Does that mean my I-140
will be approved soon?

Did u not apply for EAD?
I believe, her EAD has no meaning unless you get your I 140 approved.

very likely your case will get approved.

although it dose not make sence getting EAD before the approval of i140.

it ONLY happens in Taxas.

2003 485 applicants might get approved too! who knows?

Technically speaking, it's not possible for his wife to get EAD before the primary applicant's 140 getting approved.

Since it DOSE happen.

I donot think there will be any problems for her to work with EAD. Who checks your 140 approval once you can submit EAD?

As long as the primary applicant keeps samiliar job and salary, it is legel for his/her spouse who is holding EAD to work.

EAD is an Employment Authorization Document which authorises the holder to work in US legelly.

Since she has an EAD and she could actually work. Right?
 
I do have a smillar case. I had filed I-140/EAD/AP/485 (Substitute labor) on March 13th,2003 (TSC) and the receipt date is March 17th 2003. Online status shows that the EAD application has been approved on July 10th,2003. My I-140 has not yet been approved.

I have the simillar case too. I filed I-140/EAD/485 , and the receipt date is April 7th, 2003. Online status shows that the EAD application has been approved on July 18th,2003. I am waiting for I140 approval.

No EAD card yet

Hi,

As per online message, my wife's EAD approved and mailed on July 3rd. Till today, we haven't received her EAD card. Any idea/suggestion please.

EAD approved before I140

Guys,

I don't see where the issue is. If you have filed for EAD and did not get it within 90 days, you can go to the BCIS office and get a temporary one. Regardless if your I140 is approved or not.

Bottom line, yes you can work on your EAD.

p.s.

My I140 is not approved yet and they approved my wife's EAD. Mine is not approved yet.
 
EAD approved for Dependent

My wife EAD got approved on7/23/2003. Mine (Primary) is still pending.

FP 6/20/2003

We received her card without Finger Prints on it. But onlie status for I-485 showing FP received on 6/22/2003


does anybody in same boat, please let me know

My wife got her EAD card and does NOT have her finger prints on it.

Her online status is showing FP recieved since March 2003.

Concurrent filer EB2 ND 01/14/2003.

My EAD is approved on 07/20/2003. Not got my card yet.

I-140 not yet approved.
 
i received my EAD as well

RD: 9 Apr concurrent
received both my and my wife' card

looks like TSC is clearing up backlogs of EAD
i dont think its anything to do with 140

also GCNC: our Fp were taken a about 1.5 months back but EAD
shows "FP not available"
