by the way , not sure if it matters, but it was a first-time EAD .
the way things were going was not expecting it at all until late dec.

I think for first time EADs they do not do a security screening. The applicant haven't even been finger printed. As long as the I-485 application does not look frivolous, they will issue the EAD. This is why first time EADs are approved very fast.

Approved on Dec. 12th.

concurrent filing?

Hi handsome and amohamm,

May I ask if you guys did concurrent filing of 140/485? I guess it takes longer for concurrent filers to get EAD and AP approved since the INS will pre-screen 140 application before issuing EAD and AP.
