EAD Approved in NJ...a couple of questions...

Hello all,

I do not really go on here to post my situation but what i would do is just go on and read other peoples cases and situation. As i would do so, I try to relate to see where i stand.

I have been on the same boat as mostly everyone on here and today, after checking my status online for EAD, this is what i saw:

"On September 25, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."

I was very happy and almost passed out...Now my question is, will i get an actual letter from USCIS stating that i was approved, or will the card be the next mail that I will be recieving from them?

If so, how long will it take for me to get the actual card?

Heres my timeline by the way:

ND for I765-I130-I485 = 7/17/06
Initial interview letter for I485= 9/15/06
Actual interview= 11/21/06

EAD approved= 9/25/06 :D

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!:)
It took me 4 days to get card after receiving email-approval notice. You will get a notice (card will be included) but be ready to have a wait to get Social Security. That will depend on how fast USCIS provides Social Security Administration with your info to put in the system. I got my card Friday and went to apply that following Monday. My info was there but there was an error in my last name spelling so I couldn't get SS#; I have to wait till they verify everything. :(.

It varies according to where it is to be mailed to. Me, I am in NC

Oh that sucks...You basically could of had ur SS# if it was not for that error...I am in NJ and some people get their SS# within 2 weeks...I mean as fast as everything has been going for me, i hope it would be the same for the SS#...I actually got my first interview letter for adjustment of status last week...

what does it mean when my case was aproved on the status online for EAD but the processing times still the same?

can someone explain how this works? thanks in advance!
