EAD approved on AVM

hi!

on 4th Dec, my EAD was approved then it says that they have ordered printing of cards and they will send as soon they recv.

gurus, how long i have to see actual card on my hand in avg. case?

Can you post your details? I think it takes 1- 2 weeks to receive your card.

I think the recipt date for EAD was April 20 or something close. I had filed for EAD along with I-485 form. After 90 days were over, I went to local INS office and got iEAD card. It is good that I got the iEAD since INS issued an RFE on my actual EAD card right after I got the iEAD. I was laid off from my previous job and managed to find and start a new job based on iEAD. If I wouldn't have got an iEAD I would have pretty much been screwed with respect to finding and starting the new job. Processing RFE on EAD took more than usual amount of time since I never got the first RFE notice. I had to call INS a couple of times before I got the RFE notice for photographs.

After getting my address changed and responding to the RFE sometime in mid October, things went smoothly and I got the actual EAD in last week of November.

Hope this helps those who are in similar situation specially given the uncertain nature of EAD processing at INS currently.

I am also in same boat as you...I recently applied for EAD/485...what is the normal Procedure for EAD at Local offices...Do we need any letters from employer or any other docs??
Just incase I Don't get I can prepare for it from Now on...
