EAD approved message

My online status says something like " After approving your application on 21Oct, we ordered you a new card .......".

I am applying for the first time, whats the deal with the "new card".?

Anyway for the info of some others waiting for an EAD.

RD: Aug8
RFE: Aug 27
RFE response: Oct 3
EAD approved: Oct 21
 
Do not worry. The message will be changed to the normal one soon.

The message for my EAD approval is the same as yours on 10/11 online. However, the AVM's message did not change until 10/15, whichs says "This case has been approved. On October 15, ......". And then online message was changed to the above too. If you check AVM now, I bet it has not been upated yet.

Relax and take it easy.

Yes UTGC2002 is absolutely right. What you are seeing online/hearing on AVM is the first part of the message. In couple of days the message would change to:

"Your case was approved. On **/**/2002 we mailed you the approval notice". This date would be the confirmation that your card was mailed out. Usually you should get your EAD card in couple of days after the date of the above message.

My center is VSC. I presume the card will be mailed 3-5 days after its approved. Is that correct?

Arp001,

Please post when your EAD status changes from "Ordered" to "Mailed".

Mine got approved on 21Oct, but still says "Card Ordered".

I have seen quite a few posts where people say they have got their card in 4-5 days!! Strange. Nothing is predictable even down to the smallest thing.

Hi! i just want to ask Narayankatar and everybody else as well,where did you file your EAD and how long does it take you? Which category do you belong I-130 or H1B? Im under I-130(Petition for Alien Relative) and I filed mine in VSC and my lawyer already got the receipt (small, thin yellow slip) last July,18,2002 (this was the date marked on the receipt). And until now October 25,2002, I haven't heard from the INS nor my lawyer does. My lawyer told me to go down the INS and ask for the EAD but say there are no guarantees that they can issue it (50-50 chances). What do you think should I do? They might denied me if I go to INS would they? Im so confused and depressed. I hope someone could respond. Thanks!:( :confused:

Guys Brace yourself .. My EAD arrived on 10/25/02. Even now my case online and in AVM shows that card is ordered and it will take ... So dont worry you will get it.

Mine is EB2 RIR
140 approved on sept 11th.
ead approved on 10/18
recieved on 10/25
