EAD approved but not AP

EAD approved on 10/21/02.
RD: 9/27/02
ND: 10/02/02
Card ordered: 10/21/02
I have not received the EAD card yet.

I sent INS the EAD and AP application on the same day. But AP still not approved. It seems the EAD processing is faster than the AP processing.

Strange

That's strange becoz I rcvd the AP within 2 weeks of ND. Infact same was the case when I had originally applied, a year back too i.e. AP came a month before EAD

EAD/AP Receipt Rcvd - 09/19/2002
AP - Approved - 09/25/2002 Rcvd 09/30/2002

From your expereince does the "Card Ordered" message come first and then changes to "approval notice mailed".

I am applying for my AP renewal as well. Can you please help with form -
What did u pick in Part2 (Application Type)?
Did u fill Date of Intended Departure in Part3?
In part 7 it says on a separate paper please specify how u qualify for AP and what circumstances.......
What was yr reply to this ?
Also can u please tell me what documents did u send along with the application?
