EAD approved but never received

This is really strange.

I applied a EAD renew in 2003 and my lawyer received an approval notice in Nov. 2003. However, I have never received the card they sent. I called the service center a couple of times without any result. My current card is going to expire very soon, what should I do?

Could I continue to work using the approval notice from the NSC?
Could I get a interim card from the local office?

get interim card and when you call the service rep. insist on speaking to a supervisor to initiate a query.
Apply for a new EAD meanwhile...
 
Thanks. I believe the National Service Center already sent an inquiry to the NSC. However, no response so far.

I am going to send another application and also go to the local office to try my luck.

Did you get any response from your referral. Did you try for iEAD?
