EAD approved at TSC. any idea how to activate it? pl help

EAD RD : Feb 28-2001, ND Mar 5-2001. Approved Apr 3, EAD card received today(Apr 10).

My case is at TSC. EB3, India, PD:July 97, 485 RD Aug25\'99, ND Oct25\'99, FP Dec 99, first EAD Dec99. Still on H1, will move to EAD when my H1 expires(6 years) by end of this month.

If anybody has any idea about the procedure(I-9) involved in switching from H1 to EAD, please let me know. I would be continuing with the same employer after switching on to EAD. What will the employer do to activate my EAD? Would like to know from any one familiar with this procedure.

You can send a xerox copy of your EAD to your HR/Legal department. They will then fill up a new Form I-9 with your EAD as evidence of Job authorization and keep it on file. Check with Your HR folks.

P.S. And by the way, on a lighter note, this forum is for VSC folks who by themselves have managed to create tons of postings without the help of folks from other Service centers:-). You are welcome anyway.

Call the 1800 number on top of the card and it will activate the card...:) just kidding. Congratulations.
