EAD approvals vs US economic slowdown

Hello everyone,

Do you think the economic slowdown or recession in the US would adversely affect the number of EADs approved in the coming months?

Given that there are going to be fewer jobs available in the US and more locals unemployed, would the US government be more stringent in granting EADs to non-residents?

Would benefit from hearing from you all.

Rgds.

No - EAD issuance is subject to certain regulations, and as long as the applicant satisfies the conditions of the EAD category applied for, the EAD should be granted.

USCIS would generally have to announce that EAD issuance will be curtailed due to economy or whatever reason, and there is no such announcement. Merely obtaining an EAD doesn't guarantee a job, anyway.
