I had applied for EAD on sept 20, and today i saw it online that EAD had been approved on 10th October 2002. My I-485 RD is 10/09/2001. My wife's RD is for the same date.
As a matter of caution i had to file for the EAD, as i have seen some july august filers still awaiting their approvals. I have read about some thread about 485 being denied to spouses because they were out of status.
